I have started doing my online search for some bulletin boards ideas. I found some really cool works. However, I realized that I do not have to copy them, but I can use them to generate my own unique style, which I did. I have posted one of my works here and will be updating this from time to time as I do mine.
Doubling Our Recipe - Thanksgiving Month
I had the students write their short story/plan for the Thanksgiving Dinner on the front page including the number of their expected visitors. I asked them to write the original ingredients for their Thanksgiving recipe on the upper left side of the inner page. On the upper right side, I asked them to double all their servings. On the lower left page, I asked them to draw their recipe/food. On the lower right page, I asked them to write a short reflection in relation to our Math lesson.
The turkey feather is made up of fractional cards created by the students. They used different drawings/pictures to represent their fractions.
